In the jungle...(Job Weretiger5411, Ivyleaf33)

Sorano began to search as well, looking for any possible traces left by the mage. Her eyes slowly switched into her auric gaze, looking for any unnatural signs of energy around. The mages seemed to have been fairly good at hiding their tracks, or they used no magic. Interesting... Glancing over at her guildmate, Zecarayus seemed busy finding clues as well. This job was harder than usual, that was evident. She glanced over at her exceed as Zecarayus asked her a question. Hm, right, she could have asked Hoshi first!

"Scorpion Tail has a camp set up over that way, Trevelean-san," Hoshi said quickly, her eyes widening at the older mage. Even fellow Fairy Tail members scared her, it was a surprise she could stand entering the guild hall with her fear of, well, just about everything. The exceed cautiously pointed her tail into the darker forest, trembling a bit just at the thought of going in. However, just as they were about to head in the direction...

BOOM!

Hoshi squeaked, covering her ears and bursting into the air, her wings unfolding awkwardly out behind her. "Aiiii Sorano-chan! It's s-scary!" The exceed dove onto Sorano's head, clinging on tight while shaking in fear. The letter mage sighed as Zecarayus began to walk towards the sound, stumbling awkwardly after him with the exceed hanging off of her head.

Reaching the battlefield, Sorano sharply drew in a breath. "Hey, Hoshi, help me out a bit will ya?" The exceed nodded cheerfully, beginning to call on Mother Nature's power. The exceed closed her eyes, and energy began to radiate about her. The world seemed to freeze for a second as a godly presence filled the place, and with a blinding flash of light, a huge earth barrier appeared in front of Hoshi. The exceed neatly maneuvered the floating barrier around so the two mages could cast their spells freely, but would also move it in front of them to black off any attacks.

Meanwhile, Sorano began to write swiftly, her hand swirling through the air. "Solid Script: Water!" Soon, bullets of water began to rain down on the ice mages, pelting them relentlessly.

Stats:

Zecarayus prepped himself for the impact, and for a moment his whole world was surrounded in a blinding light, and then he was surrounded by earth, moving around him steadily. He realized it was a defense measure, and zecarayus then focused on taking down the enemy mages. Sorano had seem to also start a rain storm, itself pelting the ice mages and anyone else unfortunate to get caught with them, which were the ice mages hostages.

With the earth shield it gave zecarayus time to think, in which he spotted one of the ice mages moving through as much as he could through the rain spell. Zecarayus merely had to cast out, and a skeleton of a tiger would have formed out of the air on the side of the man. Zecarayus would have then ordered it to attack the ice mage. Due to the rain and dealing with the hostage, the undead tiger would have been successful in it's surprise attack, burying its jaws into the ice mages neck as both would have hit the ground, the hostage fleeing for cover from the rain spell. Zecarayus would have looked around and noticed another of the ice mages, and was about to throw a bolt at it before his arm was hit with the ice bullet. It was fired from the ice sniper near the ice cannon farther away from the two, who succeeded in landing the shot by waiting for the rotation. Zecarayus gasped in pain as he watched his entire right arm grow frozen solid, covered in ice. He would have had little time to deal with it, as another ice mage would have cast a torrent of cold at the duo in the shield, it's purpose to freeze the shield so hoshi could not move it anymore.

The other mage would have let go of the hostage after seeing his friend mauled by the undead tiger, which at this point had killed the ice mage. He would have made a run for the entrance, and have been flailing his arms trying to signal the ice mages operating the ice cannon to fire at the floating pieces of earth in which the last ice mage in the village was trying to freeze over. The sniper ice mage would have already focused his sights on the small exceed, waiting for the space in the barrier to open again to fire at it.

As the mages attacked fiercely, Hoshi's barrier began to falter. She didn't have enough training yet to harness such a powerful entity's power yet, and it showed in her shield as it soon crumbled under the attacks. The exceed flopped down, exhausted from the concentration required, and Sorano's hand began to move again. The letter mage's eyes narrowed, concentrating on the tightest huddle of mages, five standing close to together, and a bolt of lightning shot out of the heavens. "Solid Script: Lightning..." Sorano murmured softly, watching the bolt hit, creating a small crater 10 feet in diameter. That should have knocked them out pretty well, but Hoshi used the last of the spell to drop the chunks of earth into the crater just in case.

The sniper fired, releasing the bullet, aimed straight at Hoshi. The letter mage's eyes widened in horror at the sight, dashing in front of the exceed with her shield raised to defend them both. The impact made her stagger, but the tough metal had no visible dent. Sorano breathed hard, her arm shivering from the impact, as she wasn't very strong physically. However, she clenched her teeth, and with a deadly precision, shot a volley of arrows at the man, quickly knocking the sniper down. Seven down, three, no, four to go. The man with the book was their target. However, the problem of the three remaining ice mages was their problem. Having defeated the ones at the cannon already, there was one mage who had tried to attack the barrier, one fleeing, and another one who seemed to have just arrived, a little out of breath. They were under assault of the water, and seemed pretty occupied with that. Zecarayus should be able to take care of them as she used her auric gaze to search for the main mage.

Zecarayus quickly saw the earth shield around them collapsing, he realized an mage was attacking them. Once the earth shield was destroyed he rushed forward to the ice mage that was assualting it and cast a curse on him. It stopped his attack and formed a ice club in his hand, and swung it at zecarayus. Zecarayus put up his right arm that was frozen is solid ice and it took the blow, shattering the ice and causing zecarayus a lot of pain in his right arm. But with his right arm free now he was able to cast two spirit bolts at the ice mage, causing him to be floored from the impacts and now mumbling on the ground because of all the malicious spirits in his head.

The last ice mage, since one was killed and the other subdued by zecarayus, witnessed his allies at the cannon struck with lightning, then witnessed boulders falling on them. He then ran out of the town his guild attacked in direction of the air ship, and planned to warn them of the fairy tail's mages terrible power. Of course the mages struck by the lightning strike were not dead, they started to groan and rise, trying to gather themselves before doing something else. That chance never came though, as the fangs emerged from the forest covered in blood and there clothes torn, but clearly still fit enough to fight. They captured the ice mages and moved into the town, to where they started to aid the panicked people while searching for more of the ice mages. They discovered the two fairy tail mages who were hurt and went over to make sure they were fine and to help them. Others discovered the corpse of the ice mage and covered the body while taking the cursed one away.

Noting the exhaustion on both hoshi's and sorano, they offered small green gems, really they were rejuvenating gems that exploded with flavor and rejuvenating effects, they offered zecarayus one as well as they looked at his arm which was cold to touch. He took the bead and felt warmth go through him as he bit on it, and asked the fangs, "What happened to you guys? Why were you away from the village?" "Ay man, those mages that had the book? Turned the whole jungle on us! We realized it was a distraction when we heard a boom from here, but still man so much animals..." "You killed a lot of animals?" "Ay man, the whole jungle seemed against us, so we had to fight for ourselves." Zecarayus started thinking about that, it was actually good for him to hear, "Where did you fight in the jungle?" "Hey man! we figured were they are, you don't want to go there?" "Oh... you did?!" "Yeah man, we saw the mages out on the blimp lookin out for others man, we need to go get them for all of this!" "Okay hold on for a moment." zecarayus said and got up, went over to sorano and hoshi.

The fangs moved aside after helping the girl and exceed for zecarayus to talk. "Hey, I just heard from the fangs that they know where the mage is with the jungle book. Look im thinking if this is book as powerful as it is, then were going to need more help then expected. Im going to go get that help, and I want you and the other fangs to confront the mage with the jungle book at the airship...Now that im thinking about it, it might be best for hoshi to follow me since we have to assume she could be controlled by the book...allright?" he would finish speaking to sorano, he would have then left with hoshi or without the exceed, and a fang to guide him to the battlefield the fangs were at. The rest of the fangs were waiting on sorano, yes they were injured but they bandaged the more serious wounds and really wanted to get the mage responsible for the village attack, there blades and guns ready for it as well. Of course, the path to the airship was not safe, as there would be rookie mages waiting to ambush them if they went down the main path with some of the animals, empowered and enthralled by the jungle book.

Sorano cautiously took the gems, biting down carefully into it, and was surprised at the explosion of flavor. She watched as fangs came in to help out the situation, letting the strength trickle back into her. Though she was a surprisingly strong mage for her age, Sorano had the physical strength and endurance of any young teen which wasn't exactly great. She forced the exceed to eat it as well, though Hoshi was rather reluctant to out of fright. Hoshi was lovable... But sometimes didn't know to do things for her own good. Finally persuading the exceed to take it, Sorano glanced over at Zecarayus who was walking over in her direction.

"Yes?" she asked, then listened to what the necromancer had to say. He seemed to naturally take charge in situations, something that could make the independent girl feel uncomfortable, but she had to admire his cool headedness and thoughtful planning. "Huh... is that so? Well, personally I am fine with the idea, but Hoshi i'm not quite sure about. I trust you well enought to leave Hoshi in your hands, but she has a case of panophobia, basically a fear of just about everything. I am not sure if she herself would wish to go without me," she said thoughtfully.

Turning to Hoshi with the question in her eyes, Sorano tilted her head questioningly. The exceed gulped, shifted her paws, and one could see that her fur was standing on end and that her eyes constantly darted about. The letter mage sighed, waiting for her companion's reply. The two had been through a lot of horrifying events together, so it made sense that they were so close. Finally, Hoshi allowed herself the tiniest of nods, slowly turning to Zecarayus. "She'll go."

Turning from the departing pair, Sorano stepped up to the fangs, asking if she could help. They were soon to surround the airship and block the exits, and send a few mages inside to attack.

The fangs followed the serious girl without question, due to the fact the girl had helped in attacking the scorpion tail in the village and her very serious, if not emotionless demeanor. Most of the fangs went into the border of the forest around the blimp, ready to catch any of the scorpion tail mages that may try to make a break for it. A smaller group of them would have ran up the stairs into the blimp, ready to attack whatever was inside...The brash warriors though were met with a strong gust of sand and wind, launching the warriors that charged up the stairs into the air before they would start to fall back to the ground. In the jungle, cries of alarm came from the fangs in there as beasts enthralled by the jungle book had ambushed the warriors, leaving them to again contend with the jungle, but in much worse odds. Worse odds was due to the last of the scorpion mages, sure they were rookies but with the already swarming beasts they were considered deadly. They were actually in the top of the trees and worked on blinding or stunning the fangs from up high with either flashy light or minor bolts of electricity. This made the fangs vulnerable, and the cries of pain and battle filled the air. A black panther, its size enlarged by the magic of the book would had tried to ambush sorano, while a scorpion mage up in a tree near her was trying to blind her by sending magnified light rays at her face. During this start of chaos, the one holding the book, hamon, merely walked down the stairs with book in hand. Though he seemed content supervising the destruction, he was still alert of any fangs that may try to attack him and of a young girl or a dark clothed man that he had heard of being troublesome mages.

Meanwhile

Zecarayus had followed the injured fang to the spot of their clash with hoshi following them. He kept in mind not to try anything to scare her, heeding sorano's words. The fang eventually led them to the scene of the battle, which it was as much as could be expected. Corpses of animals lay around, the mortal wounds result of the battle, but zecarayus could sense something else hidden under the corpses. "Hey you should get back to the village man, me and sorana can handle it from here." he said, referring to sorana who had went with the rest of the fangs to assault the airship. The wounded fang agreed and retreated back to the ruined village. Zecarayus watched him leave, then walked over to overturn a animal corpse. He grimanced at what he saw, a dead fang. He realized there was a good chance that he wasn't the only one...no he wasn't. "Ok..." he said to himself as he looked around at the dead, as he was thinking of how he could use this to their advantage. He realized then that he knew how, but it would take some work. He went over to a low hanging branch, and tried to break it off the tree and eventually did with a lot of effort. With the broken branch, as it was about four foot, he wandered among the corpses until he found a suitable one, however he remembered hoshi. "Hey hoshi, don't look over here for a little ok?" he asked her, if the exceed was easily scared then this next part would not have been good for her to watch. Zecarayus then put his hand on the head of a dead...it appeared to be some sort of canine. Using the negative energy of death, he flooded the dead head it with it, causing the flesh and the skin to decay at a rapid pace til only the skull remained. He then went over to the corpse of the fang and undid the belt around his waist, using it to tie the skull to the large stick. What zecarayus had done was made a staff, and if it worked, it should help him and sorano against the enemy mages...hopefully.

He then heard something, what appeared to be loud cries. Zecarayus realized they had wasted too much time, and needed to be at the blimp. Zecarayus then focused his magic into the staff, soaking the skull and wood in spiritual energy. The concentration of supernatural energy grew within the head of it before releasing in a ominous blast of wind carrying supernatural energy. For a moment, everything was still and zecarayus feared he had messed up something. But then an unnatural light kindled in one of the animal corpses, and it was joined with other lights as the animal corpses rose back to there feet...those who could have anyways. Zecarayus smiled at this, but looked toward the direction of the shouts, they had to get over there. "Come everyone!" he said with a demanding voice, but it was mixed with some trembling as the power he felt now was new to him. Yes he knew he was capable of this, but was unsure of how long it would last as this was his first time doing this. He then noticed the fang corpses laying still, it was understandable the staff's influence did not reach them, so zecarayus instead used his own magic to reanimate the two fallen warriors. They rose with glazed eyes and slacked jaws, zecarayus did his best to avoid looking at the undead fleshy group around him as he moved with them toward the battle that was going on farther away. All though at the rate he and his group of undead were moving at, it would take some time before they reached the blimp on foot. During this he had also forgotten about hoshi's presence there among so many dead, but by then it was already clear that they were needed at the blimp.

Sorano watched as the fangs began their attack, she herself preferring to plan a little first before attacking. Animals of all types, with muddied, injured auras yowled, clawed, and scratched. Amidst the chaos, the letter mage knew she would find the person with the Jungle Book somewhere in the mess. Sand and wind roared from the Scorpion Tail mages, attacking the fangs with whirls of sand. Sorano opened her mouth and turned, about to ask Hoshi for advice when she remembered the exceed had gone off with Gamon. She gritted her teeth. She had only gone on one other job before without Hoshi, and that had been more of a fight against her own instincts and emotions. This was a formidable opponent, and she hoped Zecarayus and Hoshi would return soon.

With an easy raising of Luna, Sorano flashed the light right back at the man, blinding him instead and protecting her own eyes. She leapt out of the way of the panther, and as it turned around to come back at her, Sorano's hand flew through the air, writing. "Solid Script: Fire!" Though it wasn't a super powerful spell, it definitely injured the panther some, causing it to slink back for a few seconds, Giving Sorano the time needed to embed an arrow into three of his legs, disabling the animal's moving capability. After that was done and cared of, Sorano ducked down, pulling her magical aura in to avoid being found and held her shield over her head. She let her auric vision roam around the blimp, searching for the mage with the book.

A blinding flash of ancient magic met her, and she stumbled back in surprise. The magic of the Jungle Book. She grinned slightly, biting her tongue a little as she wrote out her signature spell. In a few seconds, a bolt of lightning would crash down on the unsuspecting Hamon, causing mass destruction to everything around him as well as the mage himself. It wouldn't defeat him, but it would surely stun him for now. Sorano leapt up, and began to make her way over.

Elsewhere, Hoshi followed Zecarayus in the air, her eyes barely open. She hated the sight of all the dead animals, but she would keep on going to support Sorano. She remembered why she had established that connection with Mother Nature, and who had helped her do it. As the corpses rose up and they began to make their way over, Hoshi could only follow and hope things would turn out okay.

Stats and Stuff:

There was a reason why hamon was holding the book and not the other scorpion tail mages. The lightning strike would have landed perfectly, blinding the area of a quick light. However once the light faded, sand could be seen made into such a bizarre structure around hamon. In truth this was how the lightning traveled down into the ground deflected by his sand, and in other circumstances could be seen as beautiful. Here though, it meant he was able to block most of damage from the lightning strike, and had spotted sorano coming out of the cover of the jungle. He said mockingly to her "Your the best that the fangs could get help from?". Hamon quickly cast a spell after speaking, sending all the sand into a enormous wave at the direction of sorano. With the book in hand though, he would had ordered the tropical birds nearby to watch, if sorano came out of the wave of sand or somehow avoided it, then they would have dive-bombed her from the air.

Zecarayus really needed to learn a speed enhance spell. He felt as though him and his horde of undead were going too slow to reach the battle. But the horde and him did, on the opposite side of where sorano and hamon had started to fight. All though zecarayus had to deal with the struggling fangs in conflict with the rookie mages and the empowered animals. Zecarayus now had the focus of ending this fight, and intended to do it the fastest way possible. "Attack the afflicted!" he ordered his undead horde. The horde responded with a unholy roar in unison as they all charged at the empowered animals as the battle of tooth and claw began. Zecarayus next step was to find sorano, but was shocked by a bolt he did not see coming. He shook it off, then looked up to see the source, the novice mages had took place high in the trees. He sent a bolt at one of them, the one who spotted zecarayus. The man tried to respond with a lightning bolt aimed at zecarayus's own bolt, and looked in surprise as it went right through to hit its target. The lightning bolt did the same, and zecarayus had to leap out of the way. He landed not-so gracefully, and looked at the current situation he was in, and a idea popped in his head. "Hoshi! Try to find sorana, but whatever you do don't look at a man carrying a book. Go!" he told the exceed, then began the slow but steady process of fighting the novice mages and the enthralled beasts using his own undead crowd and spells. If sorano could survive long enough and if he had enough time to make sure none of the fangs died, then this battle can turn into a victory without loss of human life...maybe.

Sorano raised an eyebrow calmly as the aura was unaffected. Well, the man would have to have some defenses to be the one holding the book. As the dust cleared, she could see the man looking at her mockingly. "You're the best the fangs could get help from?" Sorano stood calmly, looking completely relaxed. "Have you considered that the other mages would be much too powerful and be dealing with better things than the likes of you?"

She barely flinched visibly as the sand roared at her, though her muscles tensed and her heart beat faster. "Solid Script: Barrier," she spoke calmly as her hand scribbled through the air before her. Nothing seemed to have shown up, however, until ahl the sand crashed into some sort of invisible wall. It was a spell Sorano had adapted from her mentor's version of it, making the barrier invisible. It was then that she heard a cacophonous chorus of birds behind her, and the girl's eyes widened as they dove down, all intent on killing her.

With a swift movement of her hand, she was about to bring the shield onto the bird side, to protect herself, but then remembered the mage with the book, her main concern. He was a bigger threat than these birds, so which to defend against? Unfortunately, the girl had a weakness of being extremely indecisive, and she wasted precious milliseconds thinking on the problem.As the first bird hit, Sorano had her arm shield up, using her other hand to keep up the magical barrier. Though the shield protected her from much harm, she was still jarred by the blow.

Meanwhile, Hoshi nodded at Zecarayus shakily, trembling a bit before flying off towards Sorano. As the battle of undead and mages raged below her, she was intent on finding the one person she could trust in this mess. Finally, Hoshi noticed Sorano off to the side, faced against a powerful looking mage and a horde of birds.  Her eyes widened in shock and fear as the birds attacked, and Hoshi seemed to lose all her earlier fear. A few seconds later, two vines whipped up out of the ground, upturning dirt and flared to life in the sky where Hoshi was. The exceed released a godly presence, one that seemed to fill the place with a string sense of nature. Feathers fell to the ground as the enraged exceed attacked, the thorns whipping about furiously according to her concentration. A moment later, it was just Sorano, and Hoshi, glaring at the mage.

Hamon was momentarily surprised at the sudden appearance of the flying cat, tearing to pieces the birds he sent after the teenage girl. He also realized she was tougher then she looked, after all she did come out of his attack unharmed. So perhaps he needed to find out what she was fully capable of. In which he returned their glares with a smile...and glared right into hoshi’s eyes. Then he would have straightened up, remarkably calm in the situation he was in, or was it cockiness. In any case he would have simpily said, "Bind her." as if giving an order to one of the jungle animals. Unfortuneatly, the order would have been given to hoshi, who under the influence of the book would have been forced to do his bidding since she had ignored zecarayus's warning.

Hamon's attention though was required elsewhere, as the noise of battle had steadily declined over the confrontation between sorana and hamon. And he turned to where the cries of battle once were, only to see a skeleton mage. This skeleton mage was in truth zecarayus, who had just got done dealing with the afflicted animals and rookie mages, most laid dead behind him though, as his only focus was to preserve the lives of the fangs. The fangs in fact were alive, heavily injured but none the less alive. After the last animal fell though, he noticed the standoff between sorana and the mage with the book, and felt now was the time to end this. He was hoping to achieve this by intimidating the sand mage through appearing like a undead mage, he still did believe that no one liked to face the prospect of fighting a lich. And now he was there, facing hamon as an skeleton with glowing blue lights where his eyes originally were and holding the same bone staff he used earlier.

For a moment nothing happened between the two, and then hamon strike out, sand rising out of the ground in front of zecarayus impaling him through the chest, the sound of bones snapping could be heard. It was successful, and for a moment the skeletal mage just stuck there on the sand pillar, letting go of the skull staff in his hand. But then, the light in his eyes came back, and his skull jolted up staring right at hamon, and zecarayus pried himself off of the pillar made, a hole now evident in his stomach area and yet it was not hindering his movements. Zecarayus, now knowing intimidation was not going to work, swung both his arms casting his spirit bolt. Hamon saw this and erected a sand barrier to block the front, however he did not see the other spirit bolts coming at him from the left and right, their source was the undead corpses zecarayus had moved around the battlefield for a better advantage if needed. The bolts caught him off guard, and his pained yells showed it as he fell. Whats worse, it was clear his barrier was nothing as it was destroyed completely on contact with zecarayus's bolts. Hamon only looked up at the skeleton mage, and zecarayus stared back. He then demanded "Surrender now, while you still draw breath."his voice sounding truly like one from the grave. Hamon however only gritted his teeth, this skeleton might have been strong, but hamon still had the book with him. "Attack the skeleton!" he demanded with his own orders, zecarayus if he had a face would have rose an eyebrow as he knew all animals that were under hamon's control were defeated or dead, of course this command would have gone to hoshi if she was able to follow hammon's orders, something zecarayus would have not been aware of then.

Sorano felt triumphant for a moment- But only for a moment. For in the next, she realized that the sand mage before her was staring deeply into Hoshi's eyes... Sorano flashed her shield towards Hoshi a moment too late, her eyes widening in horror as Hoshi's eyes glowed briefly, then became unfocused and possessed by the mage before her. Sorano's heart seemed to stop for a second. Hoshi was the only person she could really consider a friend, a trusted one. For her to be possessed so easily... The young letter mage felt as if she had betrayed the exceed. However, an instant later, she squashed the emotions ruthlessly, her mind clearing again, her gaze focusing on the mage who had done this to Hoshi. With a raising of her hands, her fingers flew through the air, and the air rumbled with thunder as electricity began to form above her head.

Suddenly, a skeleton man appeared, fighting fiercely. Sorano wasn't fazed, nor was she confused at this sudden happening. She knew by aura that this was Zecarayus, and she held the lightning back so it wouldn't hurt him. Sorano watched, unconcerned, as Zecarayus was pinned to the pillar. As long as his aura glowed, she knew that he would be fine. Then, as Hamon prepared to use the book, Sorano remembered about Hoshi. The exceed who Mother Nature could put her presence into... She would surely be a match even for Zecarayus. Sorano immediately nocked an arrow onto her bow, ready to shoot Hamon down and take back the book if she had to, in order to stop Hoshi without hurting the exceed.

Hoshi, on the other hand, was in a very interesting situation. See, when she had been possessed, she had still had Mother Nature's presence flowing through her, a godly presence that made up Earthland. Now, Mother Nature was not an animal, so she could not be possessed. Which meant, that Hoshi's powers were still controlled by Mother Nature, while her body was controlled by Hamon. One vine suddenly retracted its thorns, and wrapped itself around the possessed exceed who had been about to go after Zecarayus. It pinned her down to the ground in one quick move, without hurting the exceed too much. The other vine lashed out at Hamon, defying his will, and wrapped around him as well. Mother Nature was angry. One sprout from it wrapped itself tightly around the book, yanking it out of Hamon's grasp. As he summoned sandstorms, and all sort of sand attacks to try to stop the vines, Sorano released the arrow, hitting his shoulder, and stopping his attacks as he yelled in pain.

The book fell to the ground, unnoticed by Hamon, and the vines flung him off to the other side of the room before receding into the ground. There was an obvious change in the air as Mother Nature removed her presence from the airship.

Hamon was dazed on the ground, he was not sure what exactly happened. He ordered the blasted cat to attack the skeleton mage, and then the vines acted out against him? Confused and hurt with an arrow buried in his shoulder, he tried to look around to where the book fell. He saw it farther away, and started to crawl towards it. However, the skeleton mage was seen picking up the book before hamon could claim it. He glared up at the skeleton mage, and the skeleton only returned an emotionless look. “You lost, surrender or suffer the consequences.” he said to hamon in an ominous tone. Hamon gritted his teeth, the whole fight had bothered him as not only was he defeated by a teenage girl of all things, but he also had his trained men lost to the weed addicted natives and a bag of bones. He started to raise himself up with his arm, and whether he had plans to surrender or not could not have been seen as zecarayus threw his hand out, in instant later a curse mark appeared on hamon’s forehead and he fell back to the ground. He was being subjected to voices and visions that he could not comprehend nor deal with. He laid there curled up, his hands over his head as he whimpered to himself quietly.

Zecarayus looked back to where sorano was, and saw that hoshi still did not look right and realized she could have still been under nature’s influence. He opened up the book for himself, and the original text was unreadable to him. However by luck hamon had left notes scrawled on sticky notes on the pages, translating the spells and incantations that the book held. It was only a moment before he found what he was looking for, and spoke the spell out with a raised skeletal hand. “E dryhg oui vun ouin yet, huf nadinh du hydina.” With that hoshi would have been released from the book’s control, and zecarayus only looked at the duo before moving away from them. He walked to where he was impaled and started to pick up white fragments on the ground. The fragments were actual pieces of his rib bones and spine, the good new as an undead he could keep together with his magic and avoid complications that would result from having missing parts of his skeleton. The bad news was he could not keep this up forever, and had to return to his home in order to properly mend his bones to avoid horrendous complications.

After picking up the bone pieces and putting them in his pockets and reclaimed his makeshift staff, a commotion could be heard from the trail. As it came closer, it was the people from the village and the least injured warriors. They were carrying sacks filled with medical and relief supplies. They had come up to behold a unusual scene, a skeleton standing in the open next to a teenage girl and a pet cat, while the signs of battle in the field were everywhere, but no bodies? “To the jungle.” The skeleton mage would have said to the group, they looked at him oddly then hurried to the jungle perimeter to where they found both injured and dead fangs and scorpion tail warriors. meanwhile the crew could be seen going back to the airship, looking around to check for any damage. In the meanwhile, the village chief and a fang with a burlap bag of medical supplies came over to where sorano was, the fang wanting to check over sorano and hoshi for any injuries. The chief walked over to the skeleton mage and received the jungle book from him, and the chief merely looked at him with a smirk. “What’s so funny?” he inquired. “Oh nothing man, just you two must be the oddballs from fairy tail.” the chief replied and laughed a little to himself. Zecarayus was unsure what he meant by that, but thought nothing of it. He then walked over to sorano and hoshi were, and said “I am returning to the mainland, are you going to stay?” The fang looked at the skeleton mage, uncertain to ask or not but decided to do so, “Your not going to stay man? Were going to celebrate getting our book back and it be nice to have you guys.” “No...I have other things to tend to at home.” he replied. He did not want to stay for other reasons as well, from how uncomfortable he was knowing he could have prevented some of the deaths today, to the feeling that he was causing discomfort just by him being there, to the fact he needed to return or else he could in the least suffer paralysis.

Sorano watched as Zecarayus used the Jungle Book, now retrieved from Hamon whom her fellow mage had quickly subdued. Obviously, the mage had used some type of mental spell, one that likely put him in quite some pain. Sorano observed the broken mage coolly for a few seconds, then turned back to the skeleton mage. She didn't really see him as any different, with her aura sight, but Hoshi was obviously unnerved. After the skeleton mage had released Hoshi from the spell, Sorano nodded her thanks to her guildmate, and followed him out the wrecked airship, carrying a dazed and confused Hoshi.

She watched as Zecarayus gathered his bone fragments, putting them in his pockets. A sight like this would have probably unnerved most people, but Sorano being void of emotion, merely showed mild interest at what the mage could do.  They walked back together, the letter mage obviously tired though she didn't show it outwardly. Her magic was quite depleted, as was Hoshi's energy. She'd have to take a ship home, probably, because of all the damage to the airship. Hoshi would be too tired to fly them back as well.

As the chief of the tribe took the book back and gave them their jewel, Sorano quickly split it between Hoshi and her, and Zecarayus. Then, after bidding the villager, the fangs, and the chief farewell, she nodded towards Zecarayus, saying, "Thank you for the help there, it was a pleasure working with you."And with that, the job was over, and the Fairy Tail mages could head back home, another job complete.
