    Description

    WAR. DOMINATION. DESTRUCTION.

Control or be controlled. In a world rife with war and political turmoil, there are seemingly no other options for the everyday man except to pick a side and hope that it protects or benefits you in the end. However, for many people it is not enough to simply stand idly by and let people with money and crowns decide how the world turns. As such, the members of Divine Calamity came together under a single, shared mindset: that if the rest of the world was going to play at war, then so would they.

Divine Calamity is not for the weak of heart, nor the merciful, and their aims are very simple. Not only do they desire to spread wanton destruction and chaos, but the guild also seeks to lead a resistance against both the Luminous Covenant and the Ironheart Pact, crushing both factions beneath their heels to pave the way for a dark faction all their own: The Ashen Empire, a place for all those who stand in protest of the feud between Bellum and Pergrande to come together as one, whether out of spite, a desire for revenge, or merely the allure of domination.

They intend on achieving this goal through any means necessary, and any who oppose them will be offered only two options: Kneel or perish. Either way, Divine Calamity will not stand idly by while the rest of the world divvies up the power between themselves. They intend to fight for their own fair share, and they will accept nothing less than complete and total supremacy… or, failing that, world annihilation.

    Goals

Leading a resistance against both Luminous Covenant and Ironheart Pact as the leading political factions, whether by infiltrating the factions in secret to dismantle them from the inside or by attacking them outright

Conquering Ishgar one nation at a time to establish and expand their empire

Subjugating the weak and weeding society of any that would oppose them

To kill, destroy, or otherwise cause as much chaos as possible

    Specialties

Warmongers: These members act as the public face of the guild and are the mages and warriors that openly dedicate themselves to war and destruction. Their primary objective is to be as aggressive and savage as possible, to build reputations for themselves and bringing infamy to the guild’s name.

Saboteurs: These members focus on promoting the guild’s goals from the shadows, knowing that outright violence is not the only approach to bringing ruin to their enemies. Saboteurs are charged with dismantling the guild’s enemies from the inside, ofted taking on aliases and hiding their loyalties to gain the trust of their opposition, learn their secrets, feed them misleading information, or otherwise manipulate them into disadvantageous positions.

Taskmasters: Every oppressive group that wishes to maintain their tyrannous rule must dedicate resources to making sure that any territories under their control remain under their control. That is where the Taskmasters come in. These members focus on sustaining the guild’s rule within the areas that they have successfully conquered. This can be done by levying taxes or protection fees to keep civilians poor and dependent, enforcing guild rule by actively and publically silencing rebellions, and otherwise controlling the population to keep people underfoot. Taskmasters also do what they can to acquire more resources for the guild – such as money, weapons, and allies – by any means necessary.

    Guild Hall

    Divine Calamity Guild Information Lavanitir

Divine Calamity's guildhall resides in what once was the city hall and center of commerce for Lavanitir Port City, having taken over the space by force and establishing their dominance over the city and its port space, seizing city assets as well as gaining control over shipping and import/export lanes. The former city hall itself is a large building that juts out over the ocean shores over looking the docks and the main market quarters of the city.

    Entry Foyer

    Divine Calamity Guild Information Front-Hall

This is the public area of the guild, where non-members are allowed to gather when meeting with guild members. What was once the reception and waiting hall for those who sought business with the city's elected officials has more or less been left untouched from how it looked when Divine Calamity invaded the facility, complete with a series of couches and tables, and a large hearth on one wall. A stained glass window serves as a visual focal point over a set of stairs that leads up and to either direction where the restricted and living areas of the guild reside. A small number of slaves are always posted in the foyer to act as messengers and servants. The upper floors are where the guild members can find their personal bedrooms, as well as the War Room and other various areas that have been turned into armories and storage facilities for the guild's various material resources.

    Lounge Hall

    Divine Calamity Guild Information Lounge

This area of the guild once served as a banquet hall and has been retrofitted to be a recreational lounge for the members of the guild. At the center of the room resides a large circular bar with shelves of alcohol and oversized kegs on tap. Scattered throughout the room are wooden tables and chairs, as well as various objects of entertainment such as lacrivisions, gaming and gambling tables, and other such accoutrements. Attached to the lounge is the kitchen facilities. The bar and kitchen are both manned by a number of slaves, who are overseen by a Taskmaster on duty.

    Torture Chambers

    Divine Calamity Guild Information Prison

Before, this area served as an overnight holding facility to incarcerated criminals waiting to be transferred to the more permanent jails of the Rune Knights. Now, this area serves as holding pens and torture centers for slaves. This area is primarily utilized by the Taskmasters, who's job it is to break in new slaves, but it also sees plenty of use by Saboteurs and Warmongers that may need to extract information from a prisoner or are simply looking to relax and enjoy a little bloodshed. Also on this level is where the subjugated slaves are held in shared, cramped rooms that are locked and enchanted to keep them secured when they are not on duty. This area of the guild is at basement level just above the private dock.

    Private Dock

    Divine Calamity Guild Information Private-Dock

This is a protected and private area below the guild hall where only members of the guild can use the waterway as a back door coming to and from the hall. There are a number of ships docked in the area that were stolen from the city after Divine Calamity's invasion, the guild now using them to control the export and import shipping routes for the city.

    War Room

    Divine Calamity Guild Information War-Room

Once the chamber of council for Lavanitir's elected officials, this conference room has been designated as the guild official war room, where the future of the guild and its actions are decided. Access to this area of the guild is restricted to the Overlords, the Regents, and select other guests and slaves as designated by the Overlords.
