Social Media Board

This isn't needed at all, but it would just be a fun addition to everything. Such as doing tiny social media posts on a board, for example

Twitter
"Omg I love this new icecream so much." *a link to where the post coming from it is from such as a small social where the person goes out with their friends*

*maybe insert a small picture here if wanted*

I feel like it'd be a cool way for people to get interested in threads that aren't there's. Also, there could be a small reward whenever you reach a post milestone, such as having done 10 posts in total(within reason, such as you can't have 5 posts from one job). I feel like it'd just be a really cool addition that is just overall lighthearted and fun.

Interesting concept, it could be used to expand the Ilac. I don't think the reward is a necessary thing.

A new board under Lands/Seas/Planets called 'lacrima-net' could be added. Were people can have socials through the Ilac. And mayhaps a few 'official' threads such as your suggested twitter.

Twitter: Social media posts about what you are up too. (No replies on other peoples tweets)
Instagram: (Avygram?) to show your new avies and art of your character. (No replies on others)
Facebook: (Facelac?) Where you can have an in-character sheet. (only one post per character)

Bringing this up with staff right now. Very interesting concept.

Rewards wouldn't be needed, as that would just tempt people to spam unnecessarily, but being able to get people interested in other threads or even have ic conversations would be cool.

I LOVE this idea, what if we could have an IC friends list of people who are permitted to comment, I feel like that would make for fun IC interaction. Even if it’s just likes ☺️

This board is being added. However, for consistency we would like the members to come up with the social media names which will be added to a list within the board.

maybe in the board, you could have a subboard where characters can dm other characters, maybe requesting to do a job with them or something else. Then, maybe a forum subboard, where people can create private, or open forums that people can create that would be a custom to what they want(in character). Then the actual social media subboard. Then the board itself could be called "Lacrinet" or something. Wouldn't need to be added, but would be a cool addon, if you needed to have the Ilac to use it. Just wanted to try to have some other add ons, to not make it look to blank when looking at it

As a note I think we wouldn't have a heap of subboards just yet, if it gets super popular they can be considered in future but in general we're trying to keep the site free from clutter. I've spoken with a few other people and I know everyone has different ideas of how it would work for their character so I guess we can all just do it our own way and over time the best way will be used most

Personally I was thinking of having a thread where people could 'add as friend' and give me a link and we could start a private message in a separate thread. And perhaps an instagram like one where only I posted but everyone could see. Its all just brief ideas now though!

Howabout WizTube? a version of youtube that is similar to regular, but promotes wizards more often then regular folk. This can allow for some creative content and show sides of the character they wouldn't in person. Not to mention run the risk of allowing fame to go to their heads or have little vlogs in the skipped over parts of threads like travelling and whatnot.
