During her youth Astrid had managed to travel to many of the other villages scattered around Fiore. With her grandfather's line of work it required him to journey all over the grand country, if not for increasing his magic and technological knowledge then at least for the pay his jobs would bring him. The task of a mechanic that was able to also dabbled into the world of magic was one that not many could say they were able to do. The elf's late grandfather was a rare breed in that regard, told to be one of the few that could actually work with both normal and magically advanced technology. So usually, he was in high demand. And since people in the village were not always able to care for Astrid and her brother during the times he was a way, more often than not they would end up coming along with him for the ride.
However, in no way, shape, or form did that mean she has seen every single village in existence. In fact, out of the hundreds if not thousands of villages in the nation of Fiore the wizard saint has only seen but a small handful in the grand scheme of things. Many of the villages? Did not even use technology, or magic for that matter of fact. Either that, or they simply did not have the money to fix whatever they needed. So while it was true she was rather knowledgeable about some villages and how they worked, most other villages had yet to be seen by the slayer. Desert Village, beings one of them.

The elf was not even aware there was a village hidden near the desert outskirts of Oak Town. Which was funny, seeing as how Oak Town was one of the main places she visited with her grandfather during his work. One would think they would choose a better location for a village, one that was not so hot and sandy all year round. Surely that was inconvenient for many reasons. But as Astrid has learned these past few years of been in the mage's line of work, you just don't question people's way of thinking. It was much more trouble than it was worth.
However, she had not come to the sandy village today to judge their way of life. No. In fact she didn't come here too much of her own free will. It was upon the council's request that she did, much like she always did these days. Apparently, strange magic circles have been popping up all over the place. Not just in this village, but in many of the villages and towns in Fiore. The elf could even recall witnessing one of these popping up in her own home village just a few days prior. Though unsure of what exactly it was at the time, many of the villagers, including herself, had shrugged it off as some prank the children were pulling. Though now that she knew it wasn't that... The thought of having to leave her village alone in order to investigate somewhere else did bring a bit of worry to her. But Peace Village had Erika. There was no way anything bad could happen with the dragon there to protect them... Right?
    ...
    ...
A cold sensation ran down the elf's spine, visibly shaken as many visions of everything that could go wrong back home plagued her mind all at once.

"Miss Foss, are you okay? Do you need some water? You look a little pale." A small, gnome man peered up to the elf from her side, seeing his uncomfortable look settle into her gaze. Currently standing before one of these pulsating magic circles, Astrid blinked once, being brought back to reality by his inquiry. She looked down to him, unsure of what he had asked her at first before it slowly sank in.

"I-I'm fine, i just may need to make a few calls before this is over..." But for now, those calls could wait. At this moment she was supposed to be investigating these circles. Who knew what they were, or why they had suddenly appeared out of quite literally nowhere.
A breeze of hot air blew across the sand covered village, causing Astid to place a hand over the lower half of her face to protect herself from breathing in the loose gains of sands. The blue and white Rune Knights tape that was currently laced around the sides of the magic circle in question blew with the wind lightly, fluttering before settling down once it settled.
The wizard saint wasn't the only one called here apparently. A few archaeologists were also called by the council, mostly due to their vast knowledge of ancient artifacts and rituals. But much like the saint, they weren't really getting anywhere in their discoveries. Astrid had gotten to the village after them, by a few days even. But still, nothing was bringing them any closer to figuring out these mysteries.
It was a little unnerving, to say the least. Not to mention the locals were getting a little restless with their presence.
Astrid glanced over her shoulder when the wind settled, spotting some of the robe-wearing villagers staring at them from the distance as they went about their day, disconnecting their gaze from her's once they realized she was looking right back at them. She couldn't blame them, even if it made her a little uneasy that they were keeping such a close eye on their actions. They were just trying to help, but at the same time they were kind of approaching onto their territory. They were a rather secluded people, out in the harsh, smoldering lands of the desert. They probably didn't get too many visitors. So to all of a sudden get a bunch of strange people digging around your stuff? They weren't going to be too trusting of them.
The slayer, after a moment of staring, looked back to the blue magic circle ingrained into the sand below, pursing her lips together. "Is there by chance any news about the other saint the magic council has sent to help us?"

The gnome didn't answer at first, simply placing a wooden pipe into his mouth. The tip of his pointer finger lit in a small flame, bringing it to the end of the pipe and lightning it. He inhaled the smoke before letting out a long, gray cloud of smoke through his lips.
"Not since the request was sent out. Who knows, they may not even show up." He flicked his hand, extinguishing the flame from his finger tip. "But nothing will get done if we just stand around and wait for them. It's best to try and figure out what these things are, before anything happens." The gnome left her with those words, walking back over to his fellow archaeologists just off to the side of the camp site with his hands behind his back.
Would adding another wizard saint over here even do anything for them? She wasn't sure. If these guys had no clue what the circles were, then what would anyone else know? Still... Maybe having another wizard saint around would at least if not the villagers worries, then maybe just her own.
The elf would continue to stare at the glowing magic circle, narrowing her single eye.

A low groan would come from Aiyana's throat as she tried to roll herself over so that she was not face down on the wooden floor of the building she called home. Blurry eyes would tell her, once she managed to open them, that she was in the kitchen. When had she passed out? Or had she started to walk in her sleep? While normally this would be a cause for concern, the celestial spirit would shrug off any kind of worry before slowly getting herself up off the floor. Even the illusion of clothing had come off of her in her sleep, not that it mattered in her own dwelling, and she did nothing to try and clothe herself before opening the fridge and reaching in to grab a large glass bottle out of it. The bottle read Sprirytus Rektyfikowany, and the one sip she took of it would immediately cause her to gasp and remember why exactly she had hit the ground in the first place. The half-empty bottle, which she must have chugged last night, was so strong that her tiny taste had brought her back to full lucidity. Another look at the label would tell her that she should not share this with anyone that could actually die. Ninety-six percent alcohol by volume? It was enough to murder her neighbors if she split it evenly between them and they all chugged! Not that she would waste any more than she already had, it would make some really good mixed drinks without having to use very much of it in the process! A win-win situation!

As the woman's mind cleared, her appearance would become a bit more ready for the public. The illusion of clothing would return even as she brushed her hair and her tails, making sure both were as perfect as she could get before walking over to check the mail sitting on the table. Messages from fans, order forms for various things, requests for jobs such as modeling and the likes, and then a fancy envelope that was clearly sealed with a stamp of the Magic Council. Odd, did they want her to go on another job? The last time they had done this it had been a mistake, the job they had wanted her to do had somehow been canceled without them telling her and thus she had gone on a wild goose chase. At least that day had not been a complete waste, she did remember her entire parody song because of the events that had gone on that day. Opening the letter would reveal a request for her to meet with another wizard saint in Desert Village to do some research on a magical circle that had appeared within the town. It seemed to be a recurring problem, many towns and villages having the same style of the circle showing up, and no one really knew what they were or why they were popping up in just populated areas. Ugh...Desert Village... Why did it have to be a place with sand? She did not like sand. It was coarse and rough and irritating. Much unlike herself, with her soft and smooth tails and skin. After a few more sighs and other noises that showed her displeasure with the situation, she would make her short trip through the celestial realm so that she could reappear near the entrance of Desert Village.

The place, when she arrived, was a mess of villagers, Rune Knights, and other people that were stopping by to look at the circle that was cordoned off by the tape the Rune Knights had put up around it. So this was the thing she had been sent here to look at? Why did they need two wizard saints for this silly thing? Were there not enough anti-mage forces, technicians, and researchers here to deal with any problem that could possibly crop up from this stupid thing? The nine tailed fox could be doing a plethora of other things, rather than being stuck here in this gods-forsaken place that was already uncomfortably warm. Even worse there was already sand getting stuck in places that she would never forget it happening to. It was like that old job all over again, stuck in a sandy place doing something she really should have avoided for something a bit less arid. Next time she would have to remember to put on some kind of underwear for it, something she wished she had actually thought about today. When you never wore clothes you generally didn't think to put any on, even when it would come in handy. Her armor was different, she wore that for plenty of jobs, but this was not one she had brought the ruby colored armor to.

Moments later she would actually try to find the other saint, which would not take long as she was not really trying to hide, before she wandered over to them to introduce herself. "Hey there, cutie! I'm Aiyana Shuer of Lamia Scale and the Saint of Pleasure! It's nice to meet you finally, always wondered what the other wizard saints looked like, and you definitely did not disappoint." To the surprise of no one that knew her, Aiyana would begin with a basic introduction that included flirting. Once the other girl introduced herself they could try and discuss this stupid job so that they could possibly go elsewhere and do other things. Maybe she could find some of those blots of tasty psychedelic trippiness that were somewhere in her house, lose in the midst of a party where she had lost a lot of different items around the house and still had no clue where they had gotten to.

Post by Guest 2nd June 2018, 1:47 pm

It was frustrating to the wizard saint that they had not yet figured out what exactly these magic circles were. They had to mean something, if they were just going to show up randomly across the lands. They were in fact, not nothing. Even as a normal mage one could sense the extreme amount of magical energy running through the things. They even glowed dimly, and pulsated, meaning the energy was active and ready to strike at any minute. It was frustrating, while also a bit frightening. Who knew how many there were. Maybe they weren't just in Fiore either. Perhaps they were all across the world, all waiting to activate. What would that mean, if they all activated at once? Would the entire world explode? Or maybe something in worse? They didn't know what was going to happen, and that's what made it even more terrifying. What about the magic circles that the council hadn't found yet? They were unprotected, unguarded. Who knew what could happen to those ones if someone got a little too curious and touched it. Just the thought of some poor child running across it, or even worse someone who wished to use its power, brought a slight chill to the elf despite the extremely warm atmosphere.
Keeping her eye on the pulsating magic circle the slayer only disconnected her gaze from it when an unfamiliar presence came into the area, followed by a greeting. Astrid turned her head towards the flirtatious voice, first giving an expression of wonder and curiosity before her words settled in. Ah, this woman. A vixen, and a fellow wizard saint. This must be the one the council had sent to try and gather more information on the insignia. Like most wizard saints, Astrid was able to recognize her from her looks alone. A nine tailed fox, with a beautiful figure that made women cry and men love struck with a single look. It was her alright. Aiyana Shuer. An ace of Lamia Scale on top of it all. She was easily one of the more outgoing saints, and as such as more in the spotlight with her party hard lifestyle. The slayer could recall seeing many photo shoots of her in magazines, as well as some more... Indecent ones on a few web pages she would accidentally come across online while browzing.

The silvernette offered her fellow saint a small smile, her gaze shifting between the fluffy ears resting on top of the vixen's and many long tails swishing behind her, resisting the urge with all her might to approach and pet them, seeing as how that may come across as a little rude on their first meeting. While some of the animistic people enjoyed being pet, some others did not, and Astrid didn't want to come across as rude, especially to another saint. Still, the fact that she was really trying to hold herself back would obviously come across in her actions and facial features. If not by the subtle twitches of her hand, then at least by the fact her eyes were traveling to everywhere but her golden eyes.
"It's nice to finally meet you, mademoiselle. I'm Astrid Foss, Saint of Repentance." She would pause giving a formal bow. "I don't get to meet other saints a lot, so to work by another is an honor. Your beauty matches your title." She would accidentally return a bit of the flirtatious nature unconsciously, since she hadn't exactly grasped onto Aiyana's words in the first place and how they were meant to be received. She had always been a little thick headed when it came to flirting.
Astrid would turn her gaze away from Aiyana, gesturing to the magic circle next to them.
"There have been no updates regarding these magic circles yet. Whatever they're supposed to be used for lies dormant. You wouldn't happen to have anymore knowledge on these strange symbols, would you?"

    Post by Cr1tikal 4th June 2018, 12:06 am

Aiyana did her best to not look too much at the flower that was in the spot that an eye would normally be in. It would be pretty rude to focus on something that might have had a story behind it that would not be something to comfortably talk about with someone they had just met for the first time. It was clear that the other was having trouble concentrating on just the conversation with Aiyana, her single eye looking at her tails and ears as her hand twitched in expectation of petting something fluffy. Being called 'mademoiselle' was such an odd thing to hear coming from this girl. She was used to being called mistress, but she had never been the one to be called such a word by another. The one that had called her it turned out to be Astrid Foss, the one with the title 'Saint of Repentance." It was an interesting title to have, as it made one wonder why they had such a title in the first place. Were they the one that found repentance? Or maybe they were the one that helped others find it? Trying to figure out why the flower-eyes woman was titled the way she was went out the window when she returned the flirting with a flirt of her own. "Aww, thanks! If you want you want, feel free to pet my tails and stuff while we're not too busy. I don't mind at all, and you seem trustworthy enough to not pull anything too hard or painful." The permission would be mixed with the lightest of flirting. "The magic circles are interesting, but seem to be doing nothing even though they seem active. They could be seals to something buried underground, but that would mean a country spanning sized magic seal and I don't think that would really be feasible. I could try and read the symbols, my family made sure I could magically translate and all that jazz so it would only take a bit to do so.

With that said she would walk over to make sure she was directly in front of the magic circle, and hand reaching out behind her as if asking for it to be held by the other wizard saint while she did her work. It would take a few minutes, maybe more, but she would be able to read what the symbols stated for the circle eventually. The oddest thing about the magical translation was that the magic stemmed from her own eyes and brain, the symbols moving rapidly in her mind as they attempted to translate into different words until they began to for into the incantation or words they were meant to be. This sometimes, if not too often, lead to her being made dizzy and sometimes even outright nauseated as the words tried to unscramble at a speed that almost blurred in her vision. The simplest parts to the magic circle's symbols ended up translating to "Let the country of Fiore know" and everything else seemed to be a bit more intrinsic than her mind was currently prepared for. It was going to take a bit longer than a minute or two, which meant Astrid would be free to do whatever or ask her something while she translated. It wouldn't distract her from translating, the magic was automatic and did not really require her to completely focus on it.

Unfortunately for them, Aiyana wasn't too sure about the magic circles either. At least, not on her first glance. But she was willing to at least try and make sense of them by reading the magical runes written in between the layers. Having not even conquered the finicky language of Fiorean until her teen years, Astrid had absolutely no hope of reading anything like that. She had not learned runes, having enough trouble trying to get down the normal language since she was years behind of the other kids in her childhood. But thankfully, the vixen's family apparently made sure to teach their daughter the old and mostly forgotten language. It was a relief to hear, after so many failed questions and potential answers. Perhaps she too should learn a bit, at least enough to get by just in case she was stuck doing this kind of thing again in the future. But learning such an ancient language was not something that she could probably do so easily... Still, it would be tragic if the language was forgotten altogether. Maybe she she could ask the ace for lessons later on. Unless she had more important things to do... But Astrid really did hope she could at least stick around a little after this was all over. She'd love to get to know the vixen more... And you know, maybe even pat her tails too, seeing as how she was actually open to that idea.

Aiyana turned to the magic circle, reaching a hand back to Astrid for her to hold. The elfling didn't exactly understand why she wanted her to do such a thing, but it's not like she was going to reject the action. Did it require more power than she currently had? Or was she simply a little too spooked to do it alone? Astrid would not ask, mostly because she didn't want to come off as rude or assume anything. So instead, gazing at her hand with a slightly confused look, she eventually grabbed a hold of it, squeezing it just a little to assure the fox lady that she was here for her.
The silvernette watched as Aiyana began translating the words. Not that she herself knew what they said, as the vixen was only getting it into her own mind. But just watching the process was intriguing enough. The magic circle itself didn't react too much, although the purple glow did brighten slightly upon her translating. The other saint seemed rather focused in her work. It was sure to be energy consuming. If not physically, then at least mentally.
After about a minute passed the slayer switched her eyes over from Aiyana to the corner of her vision, where the fox's fluffy tails swished back and forth. The way they loved, and the fluffiness... It was so tempting to reach out and just pet them. But even though the ace had given her permission to pet them, it would be really weird and distracting for do it right now.
Her gaze went back to Aiyana, only to settle back on her tails right after. Her hands began to twitch, stopping herself from lunging forward and hugging them. "Don't do it, Astrid. You're on important saint business. You can't goof off with all of Fiore at stake." She reminded herself quietly, but could not tear her gaze away from them. They were calling her by now, with their softness. Just how soft were they? Were they as soft as they looked? If so, how did that feel? They had to be some of the softest things in existence if they felt as comfortable as they looked. A cold sweat began to form on the girl's forehead. "Don't do it..." she told herself. "Don't you dare..."

Then, of course she did it. Like a fat German kid in a chocolate factory she just couldn't resist, and gave into her urges. Reaching out with her spare hand she would slowly caress one of her tails, a small, happy smile forming onto her lips. "T-They really are soft!" she would gasp, muttering quietly to herself. It was like touching the top of dandelion, except of course more firm with the skin underneath. A light giggle escaping her lips she would swipe her hand over a couple at a time, trying to judge which one was the softest.

    Post by Cr1tikal 5th June 2018, 9:44 pm

The nine-tailed fox never wondered what the other wizard saint would think about her reaching her hand out so that the other could grab it. There was no other reason behind it other than being in physical contact, something that she enjoyed greatly with anyone willing to let her. There were no fears, worries, nor did she need any type of transfer of power to do the translating that she was now doing. The assuring squeeze she received from Astrid Foss caused her to automatically squeeze back in thanks as her eyes continued to, almost unblinkingly, look at the runes of the magic circle as she slowly got further into the translation of them. The bright side of this was that she would be able to remember most of how it was translated after she was done here, all of the translation solving was saved into her memory for her to more easily translate it in the future. This also meant she would be able to read it much easier, and one day even be able to speak it at least a little bit without having to practice. If she really wanted to learn it fluently she could easily get a volume of it and simply translate it all with the magical ability she had. A book or two of a large size would be all she needed to be a professional at it, which in hindsight seemed like a waste of a talent she had because she was a mage instead of a translator for the governments.

A smile would appear on her face as her tails began to move a bit more happily, wagging as Astrid played with them and pet them. It was a feeling most people would find hard to understand, and one that was even harder to explain to others without it sounding like something that whole countries would kink shame you over. It would not be long after the wizard saint of repentance mentioned her tails being soft that the translating would finally be finished. "Well, I got it translated. Not sure either of us will enjoy what this thing says, and what it means." Aiyana would speak up, just loud enough for Astrid to hear, before reading the translation out loud so she would know what it said as well. "Let the country of Fiore know that their trespass against our kind, and the destruction of our people, will not go without us getting revenge. The hordes will be unleashed and your cities will suffer. Your people will suffer, they will die, and they will turn to you and ask why when they find out you were the cause of it all." The entire thing was ominous and reminded her of the past decrees of the Magic Council to help deal with major monster problems that had cropped up in the recent past. Before Aiyana could say anything else she would notice the magic circle glowing even brighter than it had been when she had begun translating it. "Get back! It's a summoning circle and something is definitely coming through!" Having Astrid's hand in her own already, Aiyana would try and lead her back a bit so that they were not overrun by whatever charged out from the other side. It seemed like they were going to have to do some fighting here, even if she was unprepared for such a thing. Why did it always have to be combat? It would have been great if she had just needed to translate the circle to find out it was a help desk question from a magical being that was trapped. At least she had her magic to use, and another wizard saint to fight beside her. Now, what was going to come out of the circle? How many were there going to be? The message made it clear they would be hostile, but to make an entire country feel regret made her feel like this was going to be something like an army coming through.

For the few remaining minutes of the translation Astrid would continue to pet and groom at the plethora of tails, testing each one's softness individually. Thankfully, Aiyana did not seem to mind this action. She actually seemed to enjoy it to some extent, wagging the extra limbs behind her in glee like some sort of cheerful pup receiving a very in depth belly rub. Maybe after all translating the rune didn't take up too much concentration. Either that or the vixen was just that good at double tasking. What did it feel like to be pet this way anyway? Astrid wasn't sure, as the only time she had ever grown a tail was when Izayuki had possessed her. But she hadn't even been conscious for that. Did Erika know? Perhaps. She was a dragon after all, even if the saint had never actually witnessed her dragon body in person. Was she capable of sprouting a pair of dragon limbs if she wanted to? This was certainly a question she would have to ask the thread mage at some point. They weren't fluffy tails, like the vixen had. But still maybe she enjoyed being pet this way too. The girl's mind began to wonder on the subject, almost completely falling victim to nodding off into another daydream had the ace not finished her translation before she could.
The petting of the tails ceased, her cheerful look holding a slight bit of curiosity in her one eye. Though, she still did hold onto one of the fox's tail, mostly unconsciously, as if using it as a pillow to cushion the apparent bad news ahead.
The fox couldn't have been more right. What it said was rather ominous. It defiantly meant bad, and whoever's behind it was looking out for revenge. It was supposed to be their fault? What was their fault? The message was confusing to say the least, and made little sense. But still, just the vibe alone was enough to end a chill up the slayer's back. Her cheerful, bright expression from before was now gone, only concern lacing her features worryingly.
"That is pretty ominous." She stated, pulling the fox's tail closer to her. "We should send this information back to the magic council. They may know what to do-" before the silvernette could get the last part of her sentence out, the summoning circle began to glow brighter than before, a sense of magic filling the air. It started consuming magic from the air, pulling it in towards itself with a white, misty glow.
Aiyana told her to get back, saying it was a summoning circle. But Astrid didn't have much time to react as the vixen tugged at her arm, pulling her back with her. She saint watched with wide eyes as something began to form admits the magic circle, glowing all white. It started off small, only to grow bigger and larger with each passing second. Eventually, it formed. A long, yellow and black abdomen. Transparent wings. Large, hairy legs on either side of its body. Loose, dangling antenna swinging from its head. A loud buzzing sound.
A giant wasp. As soon as it formed, it didn't even hesitate. Its wings started flapping, almost invisible with how fast they were going. It lifted its large, twitching body from the ground, heading straight for the village. As soon as it took off, more began to form in the circle, except this time they didn't need to transform. They just blinked into existence, flying off into the air in a large swarm.
Wasps. It just had to be bugs. Couldn't have been anything cute or fluffy. No it had to be these large grotesque things that could fly. Why was it never, like, flying bunnies or something?

Seeing the wasps ignore them and head straight into the village, Astrid turned he head to them as soon as she heard the screams start. She tugged her hand away from Aiyana's grasp, mouth slightly ajar, as if from the pure shock alone she had forgotten to close it. It took her a minute to process as the villagers ran for their lives, either away from the town altogether or back into their homes. But eventually, her legs started to move more towards the center of the town. "Everyone! Go back to the protection of your homes! Now!" she would yell as loud as she could, trying to overtake the intense buzzing sounds over the many wasps. Some people listened, some did not. One young boy was too busy being chased by one of the overgrown insects to really do as she said. He screamed, crying for his mother as the stringer of the beast drew closer to him. Astrid's speed grew faster, directing her attention to him and the wasp. She changed courses, now running towards them instead. Once close enough she would summon a spear made purely from her silver light into her grasp. Lunging herself off the ground she pushed herself more towards the flying creature, pulling her arm back before bashing the end of the spear into its head. The wasp let out a screech of pain, one of its wings bending backwards and coming to a stop. Now lopsided, it fell onto the ground. It wobbled, trying to get back onto its feet. But Astrid landed on top of it with all of her might, causing it to stay struggling on the ground. Using the spear head she brought it up and thrust it into its head in one firm jab. The spear made contact, pushing through the thick exoskeleton, making a cracking noise as it screeched once more. Its legs flailed, wings flapping as it tried to get up, but Astrid didn't let go. She pushed it more into its body. Unable to get out from under her the bug let out a gurgle, eventually stopping all movements together, the light leaving its bulbous eyes.
Astrid pulled the light spear out from its head, disintegrating into nothingness.
The elf jumped off from the dead wasp, looking up to the sky which was now mostly blotted out by the insects, worrying creasing her silver brows.

Lords... What were they supposed to do now?

It was only mere moments after the two managed to clear a little room between them and the magic circle that the real shit show would begin. Not only were enemies coming from the magical summoning beacon, but it was a metric ton of them. A horde of creatures poured out into the area and immediately began to terrorize the area and the people that were there. Of course, it had to be something that was not fun. Why could it not have been a horde of hungry rabbits? Or a bunch of kittens that just wanted milk and were trying to climb people and clawing them in the process? Why was every horde that started problems have to be something disgusting? The "NOT THE BEES!" comment that she wanted to shout simply remained in her head as she tried to figure out how they were supposed to fix this whole issue. Even as wasps began to fill the air with a constant buzz, Aiyana would flail her tails rapidly as her frostfire magic covered them in a layer of the element that she used. Bees hated fire, bees also hated the cold, and her magic was both of those things at the same time! Not only that, but she could bring down solar flares as well, which was quite powerful if one thought about the implications.

As Astrid began to run to save a boy Aiyana would look over to the magic circle that was still letting loose a hopeless amount of wasps. How powerful was the circle? Was it able to withstand a direct attack on it? So far they had only studied it, not experimented on it. Running back to the circle was dangerous, but Aiyana had no fear of death as a celestial spirit. Death here was just a temporary trip to the celestial realm as she simply regained her strength. The most recent swarm of bees would target her directly, trying to keep her from getting to the magic summoning circle they knew she was coming for. Many of the bees would get swatted out of the air by her tails, the fluffy appendages burning and freezing the fragile wings and bodies they had before they could actually get close enough to sting her. It wouldn't take long for her to eventually get to the circle, sliding to go under a few wasps that tried to dive bomb her, before she called down a solar flare with her cosmic slayer magic. Even as the solar flare struck where she stood, and twenty-five meters in all directions around her, she would also breathe deep before blowing into her hand and straight down into the wasp bringing portal. The mix of pure solar energy and wave of frostfire would eventually overload the portal and cause it to blick out of existence, cutting the few wasps that were coming out of it in half. Excellent! With the circle gone they could try and deal with the large amount that had managed to get through before she had managed to destroy the cursed magical object.

Astrid would seem to be handling herself fine, killing the wasp that had been chasing a young boy that would not have fared well against the large stingers these insects had. "Well, guess it's time to start stealing some magic, huh?" The wizard saint of pleasure would do one of the longest range teleports she had and show up around a large batch of wasps, the ensuing blast of fire and ice killing the semi-large group that was trying to get into the house she had shown up next to. Off a few meters away was a man that had not made it in time, struggling against a few stingers of which one was nestled quite painfully in his left shoulder. A charge toward them would let her swat the wasps out of the sky while also throwing a cosmic blast of energy that would close the wound and heal the man enough so that he could run back into his home. "Into the houses people! Get in, block windows, do what you can to keep them out! If they get in, do what you can to kill them or keep them away! These bees are not afraid, and they are out for blood! Do not treat them like the ones we are used to!" The woman would continue fighting, her tail swats and other frostfire spells feeding her the magical power that they held in their bodies. Magical bees, even worse than she had already thought it was.

After a little more time of being in the thick of things, she would feel the surge of power that told her it was time. Unlike most slayers when they entered into force, the Lamia Scale ace had a different way of dealing with it. The lacrima inside her overloaded when she entered force and changed how her entire body structure went. Within moments there would be a massive explosion of frostfire as her body suddenly shifted into that of a dragon with a tail that held a flaming tip of pure ice. The roar she let out shook houses and came pretty close to shattering some of the closest windows near her. Luckily for the villagers hiding in them they did not, as that would have caused some stings that she would feel sore about for some time. "Astrid, I'll take to the skies and start taking them out from the air. Do what you can to keep these people safe from the ground and let's see if we can't manage to save more than what's lost here!" The words would not come through the mind like she had done so many times when she had turned into a dragon with the two magics she had learned to use. With so many times being in the bodies, even learning how to shapeshift into them properly without having to enter force, the woman had learned how to use the new body to speak proper languages instead of just the dragon's standard speech that she had learned with the lacrima for the frostfire dragon. With her words to Astrid Foss spoken she would beat her wings and attain flight so that she could do her part. It was time for a snack, and it wasn't honey nut cheerios but the bee on the box.

Even with the magical circle gone thanks to Aiyana's quick thinking, they still had to deal with the overwhelming amount of wasps it had managed to create before being destroyed. The sun itself was almost blotted out with just how many flew over the sky, not even to mention the ones that were still hovering around on the ground, striking at the houses with their sword-like stingers. The houses here would only be able to take so much before they were obliterated. Even now, as Astrid looked around her to see if anymore of the civilians were left stranded outside she could see they did not have much time to solve this problem. The insects were all over the small houses scattered about over the orange sand, thrusting their stringers into the stone and wood. With the sand naturally degrading the structs over time, these houses would not be as stable as the ones elsewhere. The harsh elements out here had worn them down much quicker, so they would be sustainable to their attacks. The elf winced back, hearing the sound of glass breaking just a little bit away from her. She turned her gaze over in the direction of the sound, seeing a wasp had managed to break through one of the glass windows of the houses, shattering it. Thankfully, the window was too small for the overgrown wasp to get into, but it was still trying its best to fit its stinger through the hole. The family inside the house screamed bloody murder.
Guess she would just try to take out as many as possible. Hopefully, Aiyana would have her back.
Narrowing her eye the saint's fist began to glow a soft silver, ready to leap back into action when a massive explosion sounded off just a few houses away from her. The elf wiped her head over to see this new occurrence, seeing a dragon seemingly have appeared out of nowhere. Great, more monsters to deal with? First these wasps, now dragons. Just what were these summoning circles releasing? Although it took a second for her to realize, this wasn't an ordinary dragon. Its presence was too familiar, and the voice it spoke in was one she had heard only mere minutes ago. It... Was Aiyana. This, was her force. While the silvernette has never been able to achieve the state of force, she had witnessed Caelum going into it multiple times. She knew this magical pressure. She knew how devastating it could be. Though, this was the first time she had seen another go into force in the form of a dragon... Perhaps this was something to ask Sirius about at a later date, if this was normal or something.

Seeing as how the dragon was just the vixen, this was no threat. Instead, this could even help them turn the tides a little bit. She would go for the skies, while Astrid was left to the ground. The elf was very okay with this, seeing as she couldn't really fly or anything fancy like that. The ground was where she ran supreme. With the enemies split? This would be over in no time. Astrid gave a smile and a nod, indicating to the dragon that she would follow this plan. She turned back to the wasps that were still buzzing all around her, crawling over the buildings, a smirk pulling at the edges of her lips. A silver light pulsated around her frame, her crimson eye burning bright. "Alright then, time to try out something i haven't quite tested before."
Swiping her hand across the air in front of her, all of the buildings that were being attacked and stung would find that a protective rainbow layer was lightly draped across them. Now each time one of the wasps stung at them, their stingers would bounce right off, the slayer vibrating and flickering every time. She only had a certain amount of time before the spell either wore off or their stingers finally broke through, so she would have to make this quick.
With a snap of her fingers a large, bright magic circle would appear behind her, floating just above her head. After a moment of floating, it would begin to become even brighter, charging up and gathering the light from the sun beating down overhead. Without a signal from its creator, a beam of light would rush forward from the circle, powerful and hefty like some sort of high voltage laser beam. Streaming through the air the thick ray of light crackled and sparked with magic energy, reaching so far back into the the distance it was hard to even say where it ended. It piercing through some of the wasps crawling about the houses and streets, disintegrating them instantly upon contact, as if the beam was made from some sort of smoldering hot flames. They screeched in pain, gurgling in protest, only to be silenced so quickly their noises could easily be said to never have happened at all. Thankfully, due to the rainbow protection the houses and buildings were not effected by the beam, but everything else was. Even the sand straight down across from the slayer was completely scorched, gone, leaving nothing but a giant, burnt crater in its wake. The sand in some places, was even glass now, shiny but untrimmed and rough. The slayer's smirk never left her lips, quite proud that she managed to pull off the most powerful attack in her arsenal. At least it told her all those months she spent alone in the mountain with Sirius weren't a waste after all. It was a sign she was progressing, and that's all she wanted.
Only... There was a slight problem. The wasps that once covered the buildings and street, had chanced their attention to her with that impressive display of power. The elf turned her attention over to her left, hearing a buzzing sound coming closer towards her. She then turned to her right, having heard the same sound. It was the wasps. They were coming, and they were pretty angry with how quickly they were coming at her. But instead of fear, the elf was actually experiencing confidence. Confidence in her power, and confidence in herself. She snapped her fingers again, summoning more magical circles behind her. A laugh bubbled up from her throat, the smirk never leaving her features.
    "Let's dance, boys~"

What followed, could only be described as a light show to all of those who wasn't aware of what was occurring. Rays of light blasting out left and right, wasps crumpling and falling apart under them. The very ground shook with each blast, the sand crystallizing from the heat of her light.
When she was done? This village was going to have a solution to having lost a few windows from the wasp's stingers.

There were quite a few people that were startled and scared over the dragon that had suddenly shown up it the sandy village. Only a handful had actually managed to see the transformation, and even then a few of those were too scared to realize what had actually happened. To the people, this was just another monster that had shown up and was here to help out in the slaughter that these wasps were attempting to do. Once she flew up into the air it would be clear that a lot more than a few had gotten in through the magical summoning circle before she had managed to close it. It was a big problem, but one that was about to turn into something much easier control with the two wizard saints around to deal with it. What seemed to be a blast of light from below her would go off, the only obvious answer being Astrid Foss using one of her spells, and the blasts of light would start to go off again and again like some sort of techno light show that really got her in the mood to do some crazy stuff. The bees flew around in large groups, looking like flocks of birds with the size that they were, and seemed to ignore Aiyana in her dragon form for a few moments. That was probably because they were expecting monsters to be here to attack the people and kill all the Fiore people instead of attacking them. Being a protector of the people instead, Aiyana would fly directly into a swarm even as she let loose a breath of frostfire that cleared out a good chunk of the sky of the bugs. Crispy, and frozen, husks would fall to the ground as the disintegrated or turned to chunks of ice even as she used her four legs and their sharp claws to crush and swat them as she flew through the remainder of the group. After that large batch of the swarm was done she would do a turn through the air before finding her next target.

The light show below her would illuminate the shadows behind buildings, showing her a particularly large grouping of wasps behind one as they all tried to sting their way into a quite degraded wall. Even as she flew down towards that spot she would see some kind of shield keeping them from actually busting the wall down. Was the shield strong enough to handle a spell from the dragon that was flying down towards it? There was only one way to find out, and the nine tailed fox surely hoped that she was not making a mistake as she let loose another breath attack of frostfire that would eliminate the problem before she swooped back up into the air with a few strong beats of her wings. The rough glass from her fellow wizard saint's spells was amusing to see, especially when she saw the reflection of herself as a dragon in it, and after a brief moment of checking herself out she would head towards the massive swarm that was the rest of the wasps in the air that were now focusing on the dragon and the mage that were killing them quite handily. Aiyana Shuer would fly head first into the swarm without a second thought as stingers hit scale and failed at causing any damage. Some would go for the eyes, to which Aiyana would move her head to avoid until one tried to do such a thing from directly in front of her. That wasp would find itself inside of her mouth as she opened wide and crunched down on the critter before eating it. "Crunchy!" The only word Aiyana would say about eating the thing would be that single word before continuing to claw, burn, freeze, and eat the things until there were none left for her to take out.

Once every wasp was taken care of the woman would fly back down to face Astrid as she slowly shifted back from a dragon and into her normal celestial spirit appearance. "Well then! Guess I can add fighting off a huge swarm of angry wasps to my list of things I've been in combat with now. That and I can add these wasps to my list of 'things I've eaten' as well. Can't say they were too great, so don't try eating it yourself unless you're absolutely starving." The woman would say it as a passing joke before conjuring up a key that was able to summon her. "Since you're a fellow wizard saint I'll let you have this for when you really need my help. Just point the key up and call out for me. Doesn't matter how as long as you use the key and my name is involved, I'll show up so long as I'm not currently in the midst of something else." The woman would offer the key to Astrid, and after she either took it or turned it down the two could go off to do whatever they wanted to do for the rest of the day.
