Kite had found himself standing in front of the entryway to n one of the many villages that  were spread throughout the kingdom of Fiore. He had happened his way there after completing the job down on Divide Island where he, Venir and Hare had completed the job called Once Piece, he had not planned on making the trip out to this particular village. His original plan was to go on a training trip before heading back home to the guildhall to inform the guild master about the success of the job. His intended destination was to the active Volcano on the other side of the spooky forest, northeast from Clover town. The journey up until this point was as follows, he took a ship from Divide Island to the all too familiar town of Hargeon where which was where he departed the ship and hoped on the train that would take him from Hargeon and take it all the way up to the Town of Clover, the town where the Blue Pegasus guild was. He didn’t stay in town long, he had no business there so he exited the train and then made the landorus hike from Clover with the Volcano in his sights, but having the notion of restocking on supplies such as water and food he remembered that just southeast of the Spooky Forest was a small village belonging to a group of hunters to what they hunted exactly Kite hadn’t the faintest idea what they hunted exactly but the odds of them having food that he needed were a lot better than stumbling across substanence along the way and since it wasn’t really out of the way it would hinder his travels all that much.

After about a half an hour of walking he had finally made it to his first of two destinations and without any doubt this was it, there were built tents throughout the compound all surrounding a campfire with a large clay like house on the other side of them. Kite entered the village and was greeted by the hunters and the chief with the chief speaking for the clan of hunters. “ What is it you want here, Stranger?” the older man asked of the Demon Slayer which he responded with a smile "I’m sorry to intrude but I was hiping you might have some food and water to trade for Jewels. “ he asked the man point blank, he didn’t wish to lollygag for too long for he was anxious to begin his training as soon as possible. The chief shook his head “I’m sorry young man, we cannot accept any jewels during this time. A pride of Lions have made it impossible for us to hunt enough to make a trade.” he paused and pointed at the blue haired mage’s large sword that was secured on his back “ But with a weapon like that I’m sure we could work something out.” Kite made a humming sound before pulling Shamash from his back with his right arm and held it out. "I don’t mean to sound ungrateful or disrespectful but I can’t give you this. Anyone else tried to wield it they are forced to bare the full weight. I am the only one who can use it. “ he said to him which he expected to make the chief turn him away but there was a brighter smile on his face. “That is fine young man, have you also come to help us like the others from your guild?” The question caused Kite’s face to grow a puzzled expression upon hearing the question "Others? What do you mean? “ he asked. The chief smiled “ Two young ladies from your guild came here for the job we posted, they headed into the forest to slay the lion leading the pride for us. Tell you what, you go assist in their task and I will personally give you what you want along with jewels.” Kite cocked his head to the side out of curiosity, he couldn’t help but wonder who else was out here but he didn’t care to dwell on it and a grin came across his face.  "We can do business. “ he said and put the sword on his back and offered his hand for a handshake "Deal! “ he exclaimed and had his hand taken by the chief and a handshake followed soon after. "Which way did they go? “ he asked and the chief merely pointed in the direction of a surrounding forest. "Perfec...t “ he said with a long pause as he turned in that direction but paused and was forced to drag out the word perfect when he saw a funnel of wind explode from the top of the tree line.

This caused Kite to sprint in that direction, it was clear that conflict was occurring and whoever it was that was out there could be in grave danger. In a matter of minutes Kite made it through the forest attempting to follow the magic signature of those who were out and about which eventually lead him to a point where he could tell that there were two of them and the conflict had ended for the time being, so he proceeded to walk in the direction calmy. However before he could really catch his breath he saw a rather large number of figures sprinting down through the forest heading in the same direction he was, towards the magic signatures, he hustled once more and then discovered two girls, both from his guild. He knew this for a fact because he had seen both of them around the guildhall and also at the large ball that had taken place so long ago. One was Zoe who he had only known by name when Riley had dragged him over to meet her. The other one was someone who just about everyone knew, it was Hika, the guild master. Kite was about to come out to greet them but out of the corner of his eyes he caught a couple of the figures dart out towards them. Kite released his aura which appeared as white flames flowing from him, causing the area around him to heat up, he flung his hands in the direction of the animals and cupped them together to charge up a fire ball in the center of his hands "Flame Demon’s Adramelech! “ he shouted firing a large fireball, driving hard into the four beasts that looked to blindside Saber mages. Kite came out from the burning bush to reveal himself and joined up with his guildmates. "Sorry for suddenly popping in like this. Was in the neighborhood. “

Kite had arrived moments before the lions could make their move, he had even found his Guildmates. Things were looking good up until the lions had caught up and set their plan in motion. Kite had luckily saw the smaller lions making their move to ambush which he had thwarted by launching a massive fireball into the lot of them. Unfortunately while Kite had Hika’s back he had failed to realize that a lion, much bigger than the ones that had attack Hika swooped in and nabbed Zoe, dragging her away with it and too fast for him or Hika to chase. The image of Zoe being dragged off by the lions were imprinted in his mind "Damn it. I didn’t see that one. Run while you can Lion, if you harm a single hair on her head I will reduce you to cinders. “ he said to himself, almost promising himself even and did so right before he hopped out from where he fired from the fireball from so he was now standing before Hika who had a rather blank and emotionless like expression upon his entrance. "Huh. You would have thought she would be happy to see me or something. “ he thought to himself slightly underwhelmed by lack of emotion but he decided to roll with it and approached the Sabertooth Ace. As he did so she asked what brought him here, to which at first Kite just smiled as he approached his guild mate and was within a few yards from her and then spoke up. His crimson red orbs locked onto her bright blue eyes just as he started to converse with her "Nice to see you again Hika.“ he said kindly as a smile graced his face before he continued speaking, "as to what brings me here, that is a bit of a story. The short version is I was passing through and ran into the client of this job you and Zoe were on… He filled me in and asked me to come out and assist you guys in whatever way I can.“ he said to her, his words drifting as he mentioned Zoe, in the back of his mind determination was burning like a raging fire, just waiting to let loose but he withheld it for the time being he knew that now wasn’t the time to ignite, he would save that for the lion that took his friend.

Kite was looking to converse with rose- haired mage but it would seem that they weren’t exactly alone at the present moment. Kite turned so his back was now to Hika and he was facing the brush where he saw the lions pounce from and reached over his shoulder to grip his weapon with his right hand, awaiting the oncoming force of lions. "Unfortunately it would seem we will have to wait until we deal with these rug rats. I can hold them off while you hunt down the lion that took Zoe if you want. “ he said to her drawing while he unclipped his sword from his back and held it out in front of him with on one hand while he entered a stance, that had him standing with his body sideways. "but if not then it might be best we finish off the lions quickly. “ he said to her as he rushed towards the brush where he saw a few of the lions attack from, and like it’s siblings two came at Kite at once, one on the right and one on the left, trying to attack him in a pincer like formation. Kite’s red orbs locked onto the runt on the left and he acted quickly, he swung his sword forcefully towards the lion on the left catching it in the back of it’s neck with the sharp edge of his sword and he didn’t stop there. He followed the swords momentum and spun his body, pivoting so the left side of his body was now towards the front of his stance. After the completion of the spin he extended his left hand forward gripping the second Lion by the neck and held it in the air with the Lion swatting at Kite’s hand, "Time to Burn, Flame Demon’s Wrath “ he said as white flames started to ignite from his left hand and it soon spread all over the lion’s body burning it. The Demon slayer released his grip, causing the lion to drop to the ground flailing about attempting to shake off the flames but to no avail.

While he didn't hide his disappointment well after the joining up with Hika, he couldn't help but smile when he heard her greeting and saying it was good to see him again. Upon her mentioning it, Kite couldn't recall the last time he had the pleasure of being in the company of the guild ace, matter of fact this was probably the most interaction he ever had with her and it was really great how things were going. Kite had answered her very simple question with a short version of his journey which had brought him into the battle field where they stood. He felt a pat on his back and kind words come the Rose haired Mage "Unfortunately luck didn't make me faster otherwise Zoe would not have gotten nabbed. “ he said selling his arrival short a bit, he didn't like the thought of Zoe on her own out there with those lions.

Before Kite engaged his small group of lions, Hika declared that she would not go after Zoe but instead would stand by with Kite and dispatch these lions after optimistically reassured Kite and possibly herself that Zoe could take care of herself. Kite shrugged at her comment and then proceeded in taking out the smaller lions upon Hika’s claim on taking out the abnormally large Lion. "Good luck! “ he said as he proceeded to perform his fancy moves taking out two more of the young lions. He began to dust his hands signalling he was done and after the flames surrounding the lion he had dropped he looked up to see that was surrounded by four more lions. This fact caused an exasperated sigh to escape his mouth and he began to slouch, "Damn, looks like they got me here. “  he said as the four of them all pounced at him at the same time. Kite didn’t have much time to act, even less time to evade the incoming attack so his next move had to be a good one. Kite clipped his large sword back onto his back and ducked down as the lions came down on him. From anyone watching it would appear that he was getting mauled by the four lions while in reality they couldn’t quite get to anything vital. He had crouched down and positioned the large sword just right so the lions, while they were on top of his back couldn’t reach his neck or anything vital. "Wooo, close one, but it’s time to charbroil me some lions. “ he said as a swirl of White flames began to form around his body and the lions who paid them no mind and continued to try to dig through the sword to get to Kite underneath it. "Not today, Flame Demon’s commandment! “ he shouted as the swirl of flames erupted into a pillar like sprout of flames that fired straight into the air carrying the lions into the air like a geyser. They plummeted down to the earth, thudding upon contact, their fur was scorched from the attack and they didn’t move much at all.

Kite then stood up straight looking at the carnage that he had caused with his attack and with a smirk he dusted off the front of his pants and gave them a couple of pats before his attention were forced to  locked onto Hika after a large explosion occurred, she was fighting an abnormally large Lion, most likely this was the king that the village had mentioned. However by the the time he managed to actually lock onto her he saw her pinned down by the abnormally large beast who attempted to maul her to death. Kite’s red eyes widened and he began to channel his breath attack, "Hika! Raise it a little higher! “ he said as the white flames channeled into his mouth and he then craned his neck forward "Flame Demon’s RAGE! “ he shouted and fired a stream of white flames and aimed them at the large Lion who was too busy with Hika to react in time to his attack and his flames crashed into the lion and pushed it into a tree with great force. Kite quickly ran over to Hika and offered her his hand to help her up "Wow, that was close you alright? “ he asked her while waiting to help her up "Why don’t we take out this bastard together? “ he suggested to her.

"that’s what you get ugly. “ he had said right after his breath like attack crashed into the lion after Hika pushed it up just high enough for his attack to only hit the lion and not Hika by accident. The lion was howling in pain from the burns that it had received from Kite’s flames but it would have enough time to lick its wounds and keep fighting, Hika wasn’t about to allow it any room to breathe. Kite watched as his guild’s ace took a hold of her weapon, a rocket launcher designed after a shark which she had placed on her shoulder and took aim at the burning lion, the mouth of the shark looking rocket launcher was open and what happened was almost surprising. Hika pulled the trigger and fired a gigantic rocket from it and Kite just watched as it crashed into the Lion, exploding on contact, the force of which hit Kite pretty hard making him shift his stance in order to not get knocked on his butt and covered his eyes with his arm, protecting them from the incoming cloud of dust that blew into him, "Wow, good know that she likes things that go boom. “ he uncovered his eyes after making this statement in order to see the destruction that was left in the wake of her missile launcher only to see a lion on the forest ground surrounded by flames. A smirk grew on his face as he began to inhale deeply, sucking in the flames like strings of pasta until they were all gone. As he did this, Hika managed to make it back to her feet and dusted off her clothes and gave the Demon Slayer, her thanks for watching  her back with that lion that had jumped her by surprise. Kite gave a shrug and chuckled as well "Don’t even have to mention it. “ he said to her as he rested his hands on his hips and gave his usual friendly smile. "I’m sure that you would have done the same for me.“ he said to her right before she asked him if they should go and try to find Zoe. Kite let out a small hum and nodded "Yeah, Zoe is tough but there might be some more lions out and about even though big and ugly has been done in.“ he said.

Kite was about to get walking with Hika but he stopped in his tracks when, he had noticed something in the corner of his eye. Behind Hika the king Lion started to move, Kite didn’t see this, he only noticed when he saw The King approaching her, stalking her and was in mid pounce. "Hika! Watch your back! “ he said as he started to sprint towards her, after he drew his sword he felt an all too familiar aura flood from his body as he felt a spike of energy almost like an adrenaline rush and his speed boosted, his hand reached for her pulling her towards him it was possible she had gotten knocked on the ground which he would apologize later for and in the meantime he took a position behind her and jammed his massive sword into the massive jaws of the lion forcing it to chomp down on the incredibly dense metal of his sword instead of the soft flesh of Hika. "Sorry big guy, she isn’t on the menu “ he said as he pushed and pulled with his sword trying to dig it deeper or pull it free so he could do a combo like attack but it was stuck. From his flank, a massive paw slammed into Kite, sending him crashing into the ground, the force was almost enough to break some bone if it were any ordinary human but it hurt like hell. Kite used the momentum and backrolled so he was back on his feet and was looking at the lion who’s head was weighed down by Kite’s sword that was stuck in the roof of it’s mouth. "Hika it’s head is down! Let’s thrash him! Flame Demon’s Inferno Burst“ he held out his hand and focused his flames into a heat like lense which soon unleashed twelve pools of fire and shot them all at the lion who was stuck in place thanks to Shamash. Not wasting time before the attacks hit the King, Kite ran over towards the lion and behind the bright flash of his first spell hitting it’s mark he launched himself towards the beast with two streams of white fire trailing behind him, stemming from his hands which in a short time took the shape of two blades shaped and crafted from his Demon Slaying flames "Flame Demon’s Flambergs “ he shouted as he flew at the lion. The King lifted it’s paw trying to hit Kite again but Kite began rotating in mid air catching the lion’s par with one of his swords but that wasn’t the only one, he followed it up by using the motion of the spin to drive his other sword deep into it’s right hand side and searing it deep like a cut. As Kite flew past the lion he broke from his spin so he was facing the lion as he skidded for a stop but used this stop to springboard back in Hika’s direction but was on the left hand side of the beast, slashing it with both blades at once and drove the cut or the sear up to it’s neck and stopped several feet from the lion.
