The Meeting of the Snow Angel and the Frozen Knight(Private(Natalia Wolf and Kihia)

Kihia was quietly sitting on a rock not too far off from the cliff face, he had been staring out at sea for the past few hours in an attempt to find some time to relax. Out here is so peaceful… it helps me get away from my rigorous training schedule… Kihia looked up at the sky for a moment and then was caught off guard from what he saw. The sky which was clear roughly ten moments ago were now cloudy, and not your everyday clouds… They were clouds that belonged to a winter storm, That doesn’t make sense… it is currently late summer… why is a winter storm coming on at this time of year…? Kihia stood up and then looked up at the cliff wall to see if he could see anyone hanging around up there.

Natalia sat down on a rock not far from the edge of the cliff, she wouldn't walk any closer for fear of her acrophobia acting up. It was quite a nice day for a walk down by the cliffs, Natalia didn't actually mind looking up at them but she certainly did mind looking down from the top of them. Her mind began to wander as she thought about things, perhaps she should have brought a friend to share the picnic basket she packed. She didn't even know why she packed a picnic basket full of extra food, it would just go to waste in her fridge later or maybe she was just hoping to run into someone to share it with. Her wandering mind was starting to make it snow as it usually did causing an anomaly in the weather patterns.

Kihia waited a few minutes not seeing anything when an idea crosses his mind, If I cannot see them... I may be able to sense them... He closed his eyes and focused on sensing any magical signatures up above on the cliff top. Kihia opened his eyes when he felt one magical signature not to far from the cliff edge... I wonder... who that may be... and how this weather came about... Kihia then jumped his way back to the cliff face, and started to quickly climb up on the cliff wall. After a minute he reached the top and executed a front flip to get on the cliff top.

Kihia knelt there for a moment, and then stood up to look at the mage he had sensed from down below. He saw that the person was a woman who seemed to be in her late teens/early twenties, she had white hair and was wearing a white outfit. She seemed to have been looking up at the sky. Kihia stood there for a moment then he realized something... he may have just accidentally scared her by popping up out of no where. He slightly bowed in greeting, and said, "I am sorry if I had startled you... I had sensed someone up here and came to see who it was..."

Natalia stared up the the sky in a slight daze lost in the maze of her own mind. Suddenly a mans voices snapped her back into reality and she jumped and fell of the rock. "Whoa!" She uttered as her head made impact with the ground, taking a moment recollect herself she took a look at who it was that had startled her. "Oh hello, I uh... didn't see you there." She said in an almost apologetic tone as if it was her own fault. Her head hurt a bit now and caused a slight disturbance in the snow making it lighter than it was a moment ago.

She stood herself back up and stumbled a tiny bit before regaining her footing and cleared her throat. "My apologies I was just thinking about things." She said back to the stranger. "Isn't it a beautiful day outside?" She didn't know what she was saying and she seemed to be completely oblivious to what she had done to the weather.

Kihia stood up after apologized, and raised his right eyebrow. He sighed, If Master Iarok was still alive he would surely whack me upside the head with his Ice yeti.... for doing something that would cause a woman to hurt herself... Kihia then said, "You didn't need to apologize... you were not at fault." Kihia paused for a moment contemplating on how he should answer her question about the weather, "It is nice weather... if it was winter... but snow in the late summer... even to me doesn't seem right..." Kihia studied the girl for a moment and then nodded his head in greeting, "My name is Kihia Avoa... I am a mage from Lamia Scale, may I ask you what is yours and what brings you to this cliff?"

Natalia looked up at the sky once more just as a snowflake came down to land on her nose. "Oh... I guess I screwed something up." She said finally realizing that she had caused a major shift in the weather. She looked back down at the man before her and attempted a smile which turned out half sad a usual. After hearing his greeting she took a princess like bow and introduced herself. "Natalia Wolf, Mage of Blue Pegasus at your service. I am here just simply on a walk today." She said explaining why she was at the cliffs. "And how about you? you must have some reason to be here today Kihia." She questioned in a polite tone.

Kihia gently nodded his head towards Natalia, "It is a pleasure to be your acquaintance Natalia," Kihia looked up at the sky once more, She must be an ice mage of somekind the way she had commented about the weather just now... Kihia then simply turned around slightly to glance towards the ocean, "I came out here to rest and relax from my rigorous training schedule..." Kihia adjusted his trench coat feeling the Weight of Icarus in its sheathe, Learning more about Master Iaroks weapon has been difficult... but it is been very good as well... letting me come up with new spells and techniques...

Kihia then turned his attention back to Natalia and noticed the large picnic basket by the rock she had been sitting on, "Are you perhaps expecting someone to join you here?" he said gesturing towards the lunch,

"you must be strong if you train a lot then." She said in an attempt to compliment him, she didn't train very much and as such it was probably making her magic weak. I need to be strong for grandmother, I can't let her down. She thought in her mind to shut out negative emotions, perhaps she just needed to train more to surpass her mentor, she wasn't about to give up in becoming stronger.

"I wasn't actually expecting anyone, I don't even know why I packed a full picnic basket knowing that I would probably throw most of it away." Natalia frowned and sighed, it was such a waste of food. She looked up at Kihia with hopeful eyes, maybe he would join her for a meal. "perhaps you would like to join me for lunch?" She issued her invitation, though she would rather have lunch at the bottom of the cliffs where it wasn't so breezy. It would be better if the picnic cloth didn't get blown away.

Kihia quietly nodded in thanks at Natialia's compliment and offer. "Thank you for that... and sure... one thing I have learned from my time at Lamia Scale, meals are best when shared with good company..." He reached around to his back and unsheathed Icarus, he then proceeded to form a chair made out of ice for him to sit on. Kihia stood there for a moment and then realized his rudeness, and quickly made a second chair as well as a Table made out of ice. "I am sorry if the matierial of the table and chairs don't suit your liking... ice is something I am comfortable with..." Kihia leaned Icarus against the table next to his chair and waited for Natalia to take a seat before he did.

Natalia stared at the table and chair set that Kihia made, so he was an ice mage of sorts. She attempted a smile and took her seat. "these chairs are pretty good actually, and it seems to fit my style of furnishing, though getting something like this that wont melt isn't very easy." She commented in an attempt to compliment Kihia's craftsmenship, and almost as if on cue she manipulated the snow to make a makeshift snow candle on the table and decorated the set with snowy designs while placing the picnic basket on the table. "I don't suppose you would mind veggie sandwiches?" She asked hoping to get a sense of Kihia's preference for food.

Kihia simply nodded towards Natalia and said, “Thank you for your compliment, and don’t worry the ice won’t melt unless you put a flame directly on top of it….” Kihia studied the table set, now with a very well made snow candle on top, The magic I have been practicing for thirteen years, is very durable in many environments… Kihia then turn his attention back to Natalia’s question, “My master taught me not to be picky when someone else brings the food… So I will hold no complaint.” Kihia sat down onto the chair that had Icarus next to it, “So may I inquire how your training tends to go…? Its not that often I meet another Ice mage?”

"You are very courteous." Natalia said complementing how polite Kihia was as she set out a few sandwiches on the table as well as a stack of paper plates. Placing the picnic basket down by the side of the table while removing a set of napkins and placing them on the table as well. "I'm not much of a meat eater so I usually just put vegetables on my sandwiches." She stated as she set a napkin on her lap.

Natalia took a while to think about how her training goes, come to think of it she never really trained at all. "I don't really train, my power usually comes to me naturally, I don't really understand why." She said as if she was slightly disappointed, she didn't want to seem rude for having power handed to her where as everyone else had to work hard to get strong, it was not the way she wanted to be. "I'm sorry I don't want to feel like I'm superior to other people just because I gain natural power as opposed to having to work for it."

Kihia quietly nodded his head towards Natalia has she set out some Vegetable sandwiches onto the table. After hearing Natalia's explanation on how she wasn't training and the reason why, he gently smiled, "No offense taken Natalia... although there are more forms of training than just to get more powerful... even if you have a great natural power... it would be a good idea to train to better harness your raw power..." As Kihia said this he paused for a moment to look at his left hand as he released a small portion of his magical power, chilling the air just around his left forearm, "If you do that... on a semi regular basis... You will be able to think of new spells... and be able to harness their power more effectively... sorry for me to ramble on... my teacher had given me that lecture on multiple occasions and it is rather sound advice..." Kihia looked at the sandwiches, "and it is a good thing you have the feeling about your natural power... if mages didn't have that temperament sometimes... their ego would be to big for their magic...

Natalia held out her own arm as Kihia tried to explain how she could train herself in an attempt to mimic him, though she only managed to chill the air around her finger tips and frowned a little. She continued to listen contently while he explained that she was good for not letting her natural magic power get to her head, though she began to wonder a little about what might happen if her magic power got ahead of her instead. "Um... you said that someone who gets ahead of their magic power has too much ego... what happens if someones magic power gets ahead of them instead?" she asked politely with a little bit of a fearful stutter, she was now concerned that if she became to powerful for herself that something bad might happen and she had the right to know.

Kihia was caught off guard by Natalia’s sudden follow up question, which made Kihia tighten his right hand into a fist, When the magic gets too far ahead of the mage who wields it… an interesting thought indeed… although part of my own magic may fall into that catagory... I have never put much thought into it... Kihia thought for a moment on the appropriate answer, as well as a way to properly word it, “Well… I would guess if one’s magical power is too far ahead of themselves… I guess if left alone… their power would possibly consume or destroy them in someway… however that fate may be prevented if a mage who has such natural magical power… took precautions on how much they expend… and take efforts to learn to control what they can… I guess a proper example would be a Lacrima bulb… if too much magical power is forced into it… it could shatter and release that power outward, however if the magical power put into it is regulated and controlled, it will not be destroyed from the power held with in it…” Kihia wasn't entirely sure if what he just said made complete sense, but they were indeed his conclusion he came to on the subject.

Natalia gripped her arm as if to express her worry for her own well being at Kihia's words on the subject. "so you mean... they get sick?" Natalia asked slightly concerned, she was slowly starting to lose interest in the meal before them. Natalia thought back to how her grandmother had taught her and how she always explained how this form of magic was usually weak but for other reasons other than it simply lacking power, the magic itself generated massive amounts of magic power inside the body of those who used it though not all of it could be used, as a result it eventually caused them to get sick and die. Natalia had once vowed that she would break the curse and find a way to use the magic to its full potential though she was starting to feel the symptoms of having too much magic power. She pushed the thought out of her head and attempted a smile and picked up the sandwich in front of her, best not to starve herself if she were to find a way to becomes stronger. "We should eat, I can't think when I'm hungry." Natalia stated as she took a small bite of her sandwich.

Kihia looked at Natalia after she had asked the question, he watched as she had asked it, she gripped her arm for some reason. She must face an issue related to the topic, but… if it is a touchy subject… should I answer it?... He stood there for a moment staring at the food before him, “I guess sickness is one form of the symptoms… but I have experienced where a spell starts destroying you from the side effects…” Kihia sat there for a long moment, when Natalia proposed to start eating, he quietly nodded and took a small bite when a thought crossed his mind, “May I inquire… what your issue might be in relation to that topic… and what measures you are trying to put into practice to alleviate it…?”
